Group Leader Enforcement in International Species Protection

This is the contribution you can make

• Lead personnel, steer organizationally, ensure quality, and professionally develop enforcement in the areas of international species protection (CITES), import of marine fishery products (IUU), and import of fur
• Design the licensing system efficiently and develop it digitally, as well as penalize violations uniformly, traceably, and in compliance with the law
• Pursue illegal trading activities at the border, domestically, and in online trade, as well as professionally accompany and coordinate legal prosecution and sanctioning
• Promote risk-based and impact-oriented enforcement, develop corresponding control concepts, and coordinate cooperation with the BAZG, cantonal enforcement agencies, and external control bodies
• Help shape projects and cross-sectional topics in the areas of digitalization, process development, data and knowledge management, and legislation
• Build, operate, and further develop control regimes in the areas of the fur certification program and IUU

What makes you unique

• University degree in law or biology, environmental or natural sciences with a connection to the application of law
• Several years of professional and leadership experience in the enforcement of federal law or in a comparable regulatory environment, as well as in the application and enforcement of legal foundations
• Experience in licensing and control procedures, in cooperation with enforcement authorities, as well as in leading projects and interdisciplinary working groups
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder competence
• Business-fluent communication in two official languages and in English
