Bern-Ittigen (and home office) | 80-100% Your contribution <br /> • Lead and promote a team of nine employees and jointly further develop the Directional Planning section, define work programs and resource deployment, and manage priorities • Be responsible, together with the team, for the preliminary examination and examination of the cantonal directional plans and ensure quality and deadlines • Shape cooperation with cantons and involved federal offices and develop viable solutions in the event of differing interests • Further develop procedures and specifications for directional planning and, if necessary, the corresponding legal bases • Coordinate the cooperation of the section within the ARE and bring in its concerns • Represent the ARE in working groups and parliamentary commissions and design conferences and presentations <br /> What makes you unique <br /> • University degree with further training in spatial planning or an equivalent qualification as well as several years of professional experience in spatial planning • Leadership experience and enjoyment in taking responsibility together with the team, providing orientation, and promoting individual responsibility and development • Ability to bring different personalities together and shape a culture of cooperation and trust • Understanding of political contexts, confident appearance and negotiation skills, as well as the ability to absorb different interests and develop viable solutions • Networked and strategic thinking as well as the ability to structure complex issues, set priorities, and make well-founded decisions even under high pressure • Confident written communication skills and enjoyment of working across specialist areas • Good active knowledge of at least one second official language, passive knowledge of a third official language, and good English skills <br /> In a nutshell Lead. In this role, together with an experienced team, you are responsible for the examination of the cantonal directional plans with a view to their approval by the Federal Council, shape the further development of the instrument together with the cantons, and work at the interface between the Confederation and the cantons.
