For our new AI Office, we are looking for a person with practical experience who can successfully establish AI as a technology in the company. You choose the models, frameworks, and approaches yourself, build AI agents, RAG systems, and AI automations, and decide at the prototype level which architecture fits the use case. Here, no one waits for specifications from outside - together with the AI Lead, you drive the AI transformation of an innovative company forward and help shape how we will work in the future. The knowledge, experience, and responsibility remain in the company to keep up with the rapid development. You build a first version and improve it iteratively with the business. You work in a sandbox with synthetic or decoupled data, evaluate different approaches, and lay the foundation for prototypes to become production-ready later. AI Prototype Engineer 80-100% (a) Your daily routine Prototypes & Experiments Convert AI use cases from the daily business of the four companies into runnable prototypes - from idea to demo Implement AI automations and create AI agents to optimize or rethink existing processes Develop prototypes in a sandbox with synthetic data so that they can become production-ready later Try out new approaches, compare, and find out what works in practice Technology & Integration Use language models in a targeted manner: model selection, prompt engineering, output validation Set up synthetic datasets and test environments that feed prototypes realistically Build simple data pipelines for the sandbox and understand what a later production integration might look like Evaluate tools and frameworks: which approach fits which AI use case Collaboration with the business Work closely with the four companies and develop conceptual solution proposals to utilize synergies and ensure efficient implementations Proactively communicate with internal stakeholders to identify and develop AI solutions together Quality & Handover Document prototypes and build them in such a way that they remain traceable and transferable Build simple evaluation frameworks: how do we measure whether a prototype really works?
