A Staff Officer Plant Fire Department (m/f/d) is being sought at the Visp location. In this demanding role, you are responsible for the creation and updating of the operational planning at Protection & Rescue for all areas in the Visp plant. You are responsible for processes and the associated documentation in the event of an incident, as well as for the preventive safety training of employees. Responsible for all necessary updates. Ensuring the personnel resources of the militia fire department for normal situations (training, technical support, assistance) and for the incident (internally as well as externally in chemical incidents). Responsible for the training of employees in plant-related respiratory protection (protection masks, compressed air breathing apparatus, long hose equipment). Responsible for the training in preventive fire protection for all employees at the location. Supporting the planning and implementation of training for the plant fire department and other emergency responders. Participating in the development of training documents, exercise concepts, and operational scenarios. Developing project-related work instructions for all possible hazardous material operations. Requirement-compliant operational planning for all possible operations. Independent project responsibility within the assigned area of tasks. Your requirement profile: Completed training as a fire officer as well as FKS fire instructor or the willingness to acquire these qualifications. Unrestricted medical fitness for fire service as well as high physical resilience and fitness. Very good German skills in speaking and writing. Good English skills are an advantage. Driver's license category B; ideally additionally category C/CE. Willingness for flexible working hours as well as participation in on-call and standby service. Strong sense of responsibility as well as a high degree of independence, reliability, and integrity.
