Team Leader of the Social Aid Service 80% (m/f/x) Our Department Migration & Integration Suisse romande – a branch of Caritas Suisse in Fribourg employing around a hundred collaborators – is responsible for the accompaniment and integration of statutory refugees in the canton of Fribourg. On a cantonal mandate, we welcome new arrivals in our Matran hostel, help them find their own accommodation, provide personal and material aid according to the standards of social aid, and support them in their professional and social integration procedures. Additionally, we manage a community interpreting service active in several cantons of the Suisse romande as well as a listening and counseling service against racism for the inhabitants of the canton of Fribourg. To strengthen the management of our Social Aid Service, composed of around twenty social workers and administrative collaborators divided into three teams, we are looking for a team leader. This person will join the two team leaders currently in function and contribute to the management and development of the Service's activities. Team Leader of the Social Aid Service 80% (m/f/x) Your tasks Main tasks related to team management (around 50%) : Lead and support a team of social workers and/or administrative collaborators Monitor the respect of the principle of subsidiarity and the application of the Law on Social Aid Coordinate and supervise the tasks of social workers and support them in complex situations Organize and lead intervisions Ensure the follow-up and distribution of case files in agreement with the Service Manager Coordinate, distribute, and monitor specific tasks in agreement with the Service Manager Collaborate with other Services of the department and external partners Prevent and manage conflicts in collaboration with the Service Manager Main tasks related to case monitoring (around 20%) : Support and advise statutory refugees in their integration process within the framework of the canton of Fribourg's law on social aid (LASoc) Establish monthly social aid budgets/reports and validate direct payments Support beneficiaries in various administrative procedures and in collaboration with other partner services/institutions Our requirements Education in social work or equivalent education CAS in team management and/or continuous training in project management Experience of 2 to 5 years in managing a team (around 7-8 people) in a similar context Mastery of the legal basis in social aid and CSIAS standards Solid knowledge of the partners of the cantonal social network of Fribourg Skills in the field of migration and integration of refugees Ease in using common computer tools Excellent organizational, analytical, and prioritization skills in managing complex situations Affirmed leadership, sense of responsibility, autonomy, and ability to unite a team Excellent relational skills, sense of empathy, and solution-oriented approach Mastery of French and good knowledge of German and English The place of work is Fribourg Entry into function: immediately or by agreement Caritas offers interesting hiring conditions and an open work climate in an international context.
