Manager "Foster Care"

Our "Foster Care" service is addressed to anyone wishing to become a foster family as well as to all families already authorized to welcome children.

Your mission:

• Information for every family interested in becoming a foster family
• Management of the mandatory training program
• Management of the continuing education program
• Definition of the annual program of informal activities for foster families (picnic, Christmas, etc.)
• Co-facilitation of workshops and discussion groups intended for families
• Implementation and monitoring of support adapted to the needs of families
• Collaboration with the local network (SPAJ, school environment, etc.)
• Definition of communication campaigns and support in content development
• Various administrative tasks related to the mission

Your profile:

You are an empathetic, solid person capable of taking a step back, who knows how to combine relational quality, discernment and the ability to set a framework.

In your practice, you are particularly attentive to the needs and interests of the child while supporting foster families in their commitment.

You are comfortable in complex human situations, sometimes marked by strong emotions or divergent points of view.

Experience in the field of child protection, foster placement, social work or family support is an asset.

You also possess:

• Developed interpersonal skills, ease in communication
• Good knowledge of the Neuchâtel network regarding family support and other resource services
• Ability to work autonomously
• Sense of ethics, discretion and responsibility
