Starting January 1, 2027, or by arrangement, we are looking for an experienced specialist for our department "Schulische Berufsbildung und Weiterbildung" in the Mittelschul- und Berufsbildungsamt of the Bildungs- und Kulturdirektion.

Your tasks

Advisory and supervision:

• You support the training of professional groups and ensure compliance with the legal bases and regulations at the vocational schools.
• In close cooperation with the responsible specialist offices, you clarify pedagogical and legal questions and support the vocational schools in the implementation of the educational ordinances and curricula.
• You provide information and advise school managements, sponsors, parents, vocational trainers, and other offices.
• Additionally, you participate in answering parliamentary motions and in consultation processes.

Core tasks:

• You advise the vocational schools on matters concerning school premises and coordinate with the responsible specialist offices in doing so.
• You are responsible for supervising the correct implementation of physical education according to the applicable bases, as well as clarifying questions regarding physical education and the implementation of the eidg. Rahmenlehrplan for Sport.
• You offer specialist advice for intercantonal specialist courses.

Project participation:

• You actively participate in the project FUTUREMEM and take over the deputy role within the project if required.

Your profile

• completed vocational training with further education/university studies (FH or Uni), in pedagogy, law, or business administration
• Several years of professional experience in vocational training at a vocational school or in a comparable function in the education administration is ideal.
• Experience in cooperation with authorities, schools, and other stakeholders.
• Familiarity with educational ordinances and curricula or the willingness to learn them quickly
• Knowledge in the area of school premises and infrastructure planning and physical education at vocational schools is an advantage
• Strong advisory and communication skills towards various stakeholders
• Networked, solution-oriented thinking and acting
• Independent, structured, and reliable way of working
• Willingness to take on responsibility and project work
• Proficient German (C2) and French (B2) in spoken and written form

Die Abteilung schulische Berufsbildung und Weiterbildung manages and supervises the German-speaking vocational schools, the subsidized offers for the acquisition and maintenance of basic competencies for adults, as well as lifelong learning, thus also making an important contribution to the integration of migrants. It also coordinates the cantonal bridge offers. Together with the schools, continuing education organizations, and involved specialist offices, it ensures the goal-oriented implementation of the educational ordinances and the further development of the training courses and offers. It further ensures coordination with the Confederation, the continuing education institutions, as well as the other cantons.
