Behind every successful product is a portfolio of technologies and components that enable exceptional performance, reliability, and user experience.   To strengthen our R&D organization, we are looking for a Senior Component Manager who combines technical understanding, strategic thinking, and stakeholder management skills. In this role, you will own a portfolio of strategic components, ensuring they meet future customer, market, and technology needs. Working at the intersection of Marketing and R&D, you will shape component strategies that drive Sonova's next generation of hearing solutions.     More about the role     As a Senior Components Manager, you will own assigned components throughout their entire lifecycle, ensuring they remain competitive and support Sonova's future product and technology strategies. Working at the intersection of Marketing, Technology, and R&D, you will drive requirements, align stakeholders, and make informed trade-off decisions to deliver successful component solutions.    Your responsibilities will include:   • Owning the full lifecycle of assigned components, from strategy, concept, and requirements definition through development, deployment, optimization, and retirement • Driving and managing component requirements by translating customer, market, and business needs into competitive component solutions in close collaboration with Marketing, Technology, and R&D stakeholders • Balancing customer, commercial, technology, and development needs to make informed trade-off decisions and define the right priorities • Ensuring Sonova maintains a competitive component portfolio that supports future solution and product development • Driving the adoption and reuse of components across multiple products and offerings • Driving cross-functional collaboration with Marketing, Component Development teams, and Technology & Function organizations to deliver successful component solutions • Acting as the strategic owner of assigned components, ensuring alignment between customer needs, business objectives, and technology development   More about you     • A degree in Engineering, Technology, Physics, Electronics, Systems Engineering, Product Development, or a related field • Significant experience in customer-facing commercial roles such as Product Management, Product Marketing, Technical Sales, or similar, combined with a strong engineering or technical background • Experience bringing complex technical products or technologies to market, ideally within medical devices, hearing technology, consumer electronics, telecommunications, automotive, or similar technology-driven industries • Experience working in cross-functional product development environments • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills • Energy, curiosity, and a strong sense of ownership. Proactively driving topics forward, embracing challenges, and taking accountability for achieving results, even when solutions require balancing competing priorities and navigating uncertainty. • The ability to balance technical possibilities with customer and business needs • Ability to leverage AI for better output and efficiency through advanced prompting  • Fluent English communication skills; good German language skills are considered an asset      More about what we offer:       As one of the world-s leading hearing care providers headquartered in Switzerland, we-re committed to building an inclusive culture.
