We are looking for a Head of Social Services/Health Department; Member of the Management Board (100 %) as of 1 January 2027 or by agreement. Your tasks • Strategic and operational development of the Social Services, School Social Work, and Generations & Society departments with a total of 30 employees • Leadership of the department with vision, clarity, and design will • Implementation of the municipal council's strategy in the social/health sector • Active shaping of the future of aging, family, and health policy • Responsible for long-term care financing • Understanding of sustainable financial resource management • Contact person for asylum matters, foster child welfare, and prevention • Support for the municipal council on all social and health-related topics • As a member of the management board, you will share responsibility for the management, organization, and development of the municipal administration and represent it internally and externally • Bringing the interests of the municipality to cantonal developments, networks, and expert groups Your profile • You have a university or college degree in the social sector, have completed training in business administration, law, or have equivalent training. You have several years of professional experience and have already gained leadership experience • You are a personality with drive and can inspire others with your ideas, clarity, and energy • You take on responsibility and have leadership and project experience • You think and act consistently in a service-oriented manner and put the needs of the population at the center of your actions • You negotiate skillfully, present yourself convincingly, and value cooperation across departmental and organizational boundaries • You are confident in the political environment and have experience in dealing with committees, legal frameworks, and relevant networks • You are interested in social developments and social issues and want to contribute actively to shaping future-proof solutions • You have the courage to take new paths, question existing ones, and develop pragmatic solutions with vision • You have budget responsibility and manage finances and resources with business management expertise, using resources effectively, efficiently, and sustainably • Excellent oral and written communication skills in German, as well as the ability to convey complex facts precisely and understandably Our services With us, the satisfaction of the population is at the center.
