Engage with us for the vision of a solidary society, as Social Pedagogical Reference Person MNA 80% in Zürich-Uster (m/f/d) Caritas Schweiz has been operating asylum centers at various locations in the Canton of Zurich on behalf of the canton since March 2024. As a social pedagogical specialist and reference person, you are responsible for the personal and age-appropriate care, support, and integration of unaccompanied minor asylum seekers at the MNA center on Aathalstrasse in Zürich-Uster. Your tasks Social pedagogical and psychosocial support and care of the young people within the framework of the reference person system Promotion of the young people in various areas of life (school, leisure, health, handling money) with individual objectives and goal reviews Development of demand-oriented daily structures and leisure activities for and with the young people Promotion of social and self-competence, independence, and psychological and social integrity, as well as the establishment of a binding framework for communal living Crisis intervention and conflict management Active interdisciplinary coordination and planning within the team (including close cooperation with the legal guardianship of the minor youths) Budget responsibility according to the implementation guidelines of the Canton ZH and the specifications of Caritas Schweiz, as well as preparing the invoices External networking with cooperation partners and organizations Co-responsibility for creating a good house atmosphere and for compliance with the house rules and safety in the center Our requirements Completed recognized social pedagogical training (or equivalent) Experience in the migration sector and/or youth work desirable Very good German skills, other foreign language skills an advantage Intercultural competence Willingness and flexibility to work temporally varying hours (shift/weekend work) High sense of responsibility and quality awareness for working with vulnerable, protection-requiring young people Initiative, independence, teamwork skills, as well as assertiveness High resilience and ability to work under pressure Good Microsoft Office skills Impeccable record (criminal record) Work location: Canton Zürich (Uster) Start of work: immediately Caritas offers attractive employment conditions and an open working atmosphere at the pulse of social issues.
