January 2027 or by agreement You will lead the cantonal police in strategic and operational terms, in cooperation with the management of the cantonal police and in close coordination with the departmental management of the Security and Justice Department You will further develop the strategy of the cantonal police, based on the government's priority planning and the strategic goals of the Security and Justice Department You will ensure a future-oriented personnel, organizational, and cultural development of the cantonal police and will work towards further strengthening an attractive and professional police corps You will create optimal framework conditions for the police corps and ensure the prerequisites for effective and efficient coordination between all main departments and for the technical fulfillment of all police tasks You will maintain contact with authorities, partner organizations, and other institutions and represent the interests of the cantonal police in public In supraregional and national bodies, commissions, expert groups, and projects, you will represent the cantonal police and work towards a profitable and future-oriented cooperation You have a completed university degree, preferably with a focus on law or business administration You bring comprehensive leadership training and leadership experience in larger areas of the private sector or public administration An officer's training with the police and/or the army is an advantage You are an integer and team-oriented personality with pronounced organizational and communication skills, who can easily work connectively across different levels and promote positive exchange You have experience in the development and implementation of new strategies and the realization of corresponding projects Preferably, you bring knowledge of future-oriented developments in the security sector or the police You are characterized by high motivation, enthusiasm, and resilience A demanding and versatile leadership function An exceptional and meaningful work environment with highly committed employees The opportunity to accompany a modern and professional police corps into the future Insight into the diversity of the Security and Justice Department and opportunities for co-design as part of the top management For additional information on the task, Government Councilor Christof, Head of the Security and Justice Department (Phone ), is available.
