About the offer
The GHOL is the regional reference hospital for Western Lake Geneva with its structures in Nyon and Rolle. Joining us means seizing the opportunity to work daily with over 900 collaborators to ensure the health and well-being of patients and their families.
Job description:
To strengthen our team of therapists in the STROKE UNIT, we are looking for a motivated speech therapist to intervene with adult patients hospitalized in the acute phase. You will join a dynamic team of around 20 therapists at the Nyon site (speech therapists, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists) working in close collaboration with medical and nursing teams.
As part of your activity, you will be mainly called upon to:
• Conduct speech therapy assessments with adult patients presenting language, speech, and communication disorders.
• Participate in the screening and evaluation of dysphagias, as well as recommendations regarding food and swallowing safety.
• Ensure early care and initiate speech therapy treatments in the acute phase.
• Collaborate closely with doctors, nurses, and other hospital professionals.
• Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and contribute to the continuity of care.
• Ensure the traceability of your interventions in the computerized patient file.
• Participate in the training of nursing staff
Required profile:
• Clinical experience with an adult population is essential, particularly in the fields of language, speech, and swallowing.
• Applications from young graduates are welcome, provided they have significant internship experience with adults.
• Interest in working in an acute hospital setting and early care.
• Interest in training in the neurological field
• Ability to work autonomously while appreciating interprofessional collaboration.
• Sense of organization, flexibility, and excellent relational skills.
Level of education:
• Master's degree in speech therapy or an equivalent diploma recognized by the Swiss Red Cross (required).
Benefits:
Within GHOL, you will develop your skills thanks to a real policy of continuous training and the opportunity to benefit from rich interdisciplinary collaboration with various caregivers.
You will benefit from attractive working conditions (location, new hospital, team spirit, support from a clinical respondent).
