Senior Platform Engineer Kubernetes / OpenShift

• IT - IT Infrastructure & Operations • Bern • Contracting • Full-time • Immediately - 31.12.2026 (with option to extend) • Kubernetes, OpenShift, container Your tasks: • Together with your team, you are responsible for the conception, engineering, and operation of a large container platform based on Kubernetes and Red Hat OpenShift • You consistently manage and automate the server and cloud infrastructure according to the principle of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) • You are in close exchange with internal stakeholders, analyze new requirements, and develop innovative infrastructure and platform solutions • You implement new services and optimizations to continuously improve the stability, scalability, and efficiency of the platform • You process support requests, maintain technical documentation and FAQs, and ensure smooth operation • In the sense of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), you take on on-call duty on a rotational basis for the platform for which you share responsibility   Your profile: • Several years of experience in the administration and automation of Kubernetes or OpenShift environments • Sound knowledge in handling at least one common cloud platform such as AWS, Azure, or OpenStack • Very good knowledge of Linux systems as well as strong skills in network and infrastructure troubleshooting • Experience with Infrastructure as Code as well as the operation of complex platform environments • Analytical and structured approach - even in demanding or time-critical situations, you maintain an overview • You are a team player with high individual responsibility and great passion for modern platform technologies • Good German and English skills in speaking and writing
