Senior Physician Focus Addiction Our ward at the Bolligenstrasse location takes over the care of all acute clinical pictures within the Competence Center for Addiction Psychiatry. In addition to the care of acute intoxications, deliriums, and psychiatric comorbidities, the performance of qualified withdrawals for all substances is also part of the core mandate of this inpatient unit. In the field of addiction psychiatry, the ward works closely with the open withdrawal and detoxification ward as well as the addiction outpatient clinic. In your function as a Senior Physician, you will help shape innovative treatment concepts, be part of an interdisciplinary team, and drive the further development of modern therapeutic approaches. Your Tasks You work on a ward with acute and elective clinical pictures focusing on addiction psychiatry and are responsible for diagnostics, therapy planning, and the implementation of psychiatric treatments in close interdisciplinary cooperation with our team Supervision and further training of assistant physicians Participation in the further development of clinical concepts in close cooperation with a dedicated, multiprofessional team is another part of this interesting task You participate in the senior physician on-call service of the Clinic for Psychiatry and Psychotherapy You are actively involved in the training and further education for the field of psychiatry at the University of Bern and the candidates for becoming specialists in psychiatry and psychotherapy You support ongoing projects in research and, if interested, can develop your own projects within the framework of the clinic's research concept Your Profile You hold the specialist title in Psychiatry and Psychotherapy with MEBEKO recognition (mandatory for foreign diplomas) or are already far advanced in your training to become a specialist.
