Lead Cyber Defense & Security Operations

Leadership role in the further development and management of the global cyber defense strategy and the security operations capabilities of an industrial company.

Tasks

• Responsibility for the global cyber defense strategy and further development of security operations capabilities
• Functional and disciplinary leadership of the cyber defense team and management of the SOC
• Ensuring detection, analysis, and defense against cyber threats through incident response and threat hunting
• Responsibility for security engineering and detection engineering as well as the further development of the tool stack
• Management of vulnerability, attack surface, and security posture management
• Overall responsibility during critical cyber incidents including lessons learned
• Management of security service providers and reporting to management

Profile

• More than 8 years of professional experience in cyber security, of which at least 5 years in a leadership role
• Experience in the establishment and management of internal and external security operations services
• Sound knowledge in incident response, detection engineering, threat hunting, and exposure management
• Expertise in SIEM, SOAR, EDR/XDR, identity, and cloud security solutions
• Experience in leading international teams and in stakeholder management
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or GIAC are an advantage
• University of applied sciences degree as well as German and English language skills
