According to the cantonal service contract, the psychiatry department of Spital Emmental is responsible for the care of the Emmental region (150,000 inhabitants) with the locations in Burgdorf and Langnau.

Your tasks within the framework of team-oriented processes

• Conducting the geriatric psychiatric consultation at the Allgemeinspital Langnau
• Geriatric psychiatric consultation service in the somatic wards of the hospital
• Participation in the Memory Clinic (diagnostics, case discussions, interdisciplinary investigations)
• If interested: Participation in the specialist consultation for ADHD and ASD in adulthood
• Development and expansion of the regional, outreach care structure
• Interprofessional cooperation with nursing, therapies and somatic specialist disciplines
• Participation in the integrated psychiatric emergency service

Your profile

• Specialist title in Psychiatry and Psychotherapy or shortly before completion
• Interest in geriatric psychiatry and somato-psychic interactions
• Ideally initial experience in geriatric psychiatry; consultation psychiatry experience welcome
• Joy in interdisciplinary cooperation and in the further development of modern care offerings
• Confident appearance as well as a clear, structured and team-oriented way of working
