Dipl. Nursing Specialist:n Endoscopy

The Bauchzentrum am Inselspital is a unique, multidisciplinary facility for patients with stomach, intestinal, and liver diseases. Visceral surgeons, gastroenterologists, hepatologists, and the stoma counseling team jointly provide their services in the outpatient clinic.
In the endoscopy center, the entire spectrum of endoscopic diagnostics and interventions is carried out at the highest international level. As the largest center in Switzerland, we perform up to 12000 interventions annually with an increasing tendency. In addition to the regular opening hours for elective procedures, an emergency service is ensured via on-call duty around the clock.

What awaits you

• Preparation of patients for the various endoscopic procedures
• Care and monitoring of patients before, during, and after the procedures
• Sedation of patients during the examination
• Assistance during diagnostic and therapeutic examinations such as gastroscopies and colonoscopies
• Preparation and assistance for complex examinations such as ERCP, PTCD, transgastric stent insertions, ESD, and endosleeve
• Proper handling of medical devices as well as their preparation and post-processing
• Processing of endoscopic devices according to hygiene specifications
