Zollikofen, Switzerland (and home office) | 80-100% Your contribution • Be responsible for fiber optic network architecture, the design, acquisition, commissioning, and testing of new fiber optic cables in the Bern area for the operation of ICT systems as well as defining the related operating requirements for external service providers • Perform requirements engineering activities; evaluate the feasibility and complexity of requirements related to new or modified fiber optic connections as well as their implications for systems in use or planned as well as on standards and directives • Perform design activities, provide consultancy, and develop solutions for complex requirements related to fiber optic networks (feasibility tests); provide technical assistance for fiber optic connections in various WAN/LAN contexts • Provide consultancy, ensure technical coordination, and manage communication with customers and cable manufacturers; provide support to our sales organization in pre-sales activities, in the development of technical solutions and their respective presentation • Handle the design, architecture, and engineering of complex solutions for fiber optic cable routes; evaluate new routes, provide for their commissioning and error elimination as well as assist colleagues in external on-call services (activated reactively) <br /> What distinguishes you • University degree and/or in-depth knowledge as well as several years of experience in the fiber optic network sector; proven specialist skills in the planning and maintenance of fiber optic networks • Several years of professional experience in the network sector, preferably in fiber optic network planning; extensive skills in the architecture, planning, and implementation of fiber optic networks • Operational skills in the fiber optic network sector (core and distribution); familiarity with tasks related to project management • Analytical approach and logical thinking, rapid learning ability, strong communication skills, flexibility, psychophysical resilience, and team spirit; ability to implement new solutions in collaboration with internal and external partners • Flexible and collaborative personality, structured and precise way of working; experience with agile working methodologies and roles, in particular SAFe and Jira, is a preferential qualification • Good knowledge of two official languages <br /> In summary Are you a professional with experience in the architecture, design, and implementation of fiber optic network infrastructures?
