To strengthen our team, we are looking for a committed personality for a newly created position in operational purchasing. In this exciting role, you have the opportunity to actively help shape structures and sustainably influence processes.

Your exciting task

• You are responsible for the daily planning of your assigned assortment and ensure product availability, taking into account defined KPIs such as inventory turnover and reach.
• You actively manage inventory levels and take care of clearing, especially the R and S stocks.
• You ensure that old goods are specifically avoided and reduced.
• You systematically process invoice and delivery discrepancies.
• You take over the dunning process towards suppliers and take care of complaints.
• You work closely with the Category Manager English Books and support them with operational questions in procurement and supplier management.
• You participate in the development and continuous optimization of processes in purchasing planning as well as in the newly created Operational Purchasing department.
• You support cross-departmental coordination and projects.

What you bring with you

• You have a commercial basic training as well as experience in planning or operational purchasing.
• You have a good understanding of key figures such as inventory turnover and reach and use them purposefully.
• You have very good German and good English skills, as many suppliers are in the UK and US regions.
• You work in a structured, analytical, and process-oriented manner.
• You bring initiative, a sense of responsibility, and the joy of actively helping to shape an evolving environment.
• You convince through your communication skills, team orientation, and a constructive approach to internal and external partners.
