District Forester (m/f/d)

We are looking for an initiative and service-oriented District Forester (m/f/d) as of 1 January 2027 or by arrangement * Supervision and management of around 2'500 ha of forest area with a private forest share of approx. 80 percent * Cooperation with two other foresters in the new Glatt-Thur forest district * Advising small public and especially private forest owners * Supervision of the state forest in one's own area of responsibility (current Flawil forest district), including the Wilket area in the Neckertal, as well as guiding the forest group of the Staatswald forest enterprise at the Oberuzwil location * Timber mobilization and timber marketing in a forest district with a timber utilization of more than 25'000 fm per year * Planning forest management and implementing nature conservation projects * Public relations * Degree as a federally certified forest technician HF or an equivalent qualification * Business-oriented and entrepreneurial thinking and acting * Strong communication skills as well as good negotiation skills * Confident appearance and enjoyment in dealing with private forest owners * Driver's license Cat.
