Kubernetes Engineer (m/w/d)

You ensure that complex systems remain stable, scalable and manageable. You move safely between application, infrastructure and operation and understand Kubernetes not as an end in itself, but as a tool for robust, maintainable platforms. Together with development teams, you create the basis for reliable software in productive operation. Kubernetes is an integral part of our development and operating landscape. You contribute to technical decisions and implement them together with the team. Collaboration with development, ops and product teams is part of everyday life. Focus on traceable, maintainable solutions rather than unnecessary complexity. Time and space to implement topics cleanly and learn. Setup, operation and further development of Kubernetes clusters (on-premise and/or cloud). Automation of deployments, rollouts and infrastructure (Infrastructure as Code). Close collaboration with development teams to improve build, deployment and runtime processes. Analysis and resolution of incidents as well as sustainable stabilization of the platform. Establishment of best practices around observability, security and scaling. In-depth experience with Kubernetes in productive operation. Very good knowledge of container technologies (Docker, OCI). Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation (e.g. GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Argo CD). Knowledge of cloud or on-prem environments (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP, OpenShift, Bare Metal). Understanding of networks, security concepts and distributed systems. Analytical thinking, personal responsibility and joy in complex technical challenges. Experience with service meshes, monitoring and logging stacks (e.g. Prometheus, Grafana, ELK). Knowledge of Helm, Kustomize or similar tools. Experience with SRE or platform engineering approaches. Experience in an administrative environment or in comparable public institutions. Challenging and varied projects in an agile environment.
