Volunteers for telephone counseling

Every day, around 125 people in the Zürich region contact die Dargebotene Hand, whether by telephone, email or chat. The low-threshold and anonymous offer is free of charge and available around the clock. The callers or writers desire a neutral conversation partner for their everyday worries, support in a crisis, accompaniment during long-lasting psychological or physical ailments, contact in case of social isolation or mediation of further information. For the telephone counseling, we will train new volunteers for the telephone counseling in a course from December 2026 to November 2027. Basically, collaboration at Tel 143 is open to all interested parties. The focus is on personal suitability: • Stable personality and psychological resilience • Openness to learning to better understand fellow human beings and oneself • High availability and flexibility for irregular shifts around the clock • Problem-free understanding of Swiss German • Age: 30 - 66 years • Place of residence in the catchment area of die Dargebotene Hand Zürich.
