Core tasks include monitoring serial crime with the aim of detecting series as early as possible in order to proactively disrupt or end them with police measures. This also includes the recognition of unknown perpetrators in video surveillance images. Important fields of activity of the service also include the processing of intelligence requests from home and abroad and the operation of an intercantonal analysis tool.
