Senior Specialist for Prison Leaves Justice Execution and Reintegration Justice Execution Institution Pöschwies Senior Specialist for Prison Leaves 60 - 80% Justice Execution and Reintegration (JuWe) is, as part of the Directorate of Justice and Home Affairs of the Canton of Zurich, responsible for the execution of penalties and measures, as well as the implementation of various types of detention. For our 1,400 employees, the successful social reintegration of people who have committed crimes and the prevention of recidivism are of particular importance. The Justice Execution Institution Pöschwies (JVA) is one of eight main departments of JuWe. The JVA Pöschwies is, with 399 places, the largest closed justice execution institution in Switzerland for men. It fulfills a central state task and takes into account the legal mandate of resocialization of the incarcerated persons and the protection of the general public. Prison leaves are a central step in the transition back to freedom. They enable incarcerated persons to gradually take on responsibility and test themselves in everyday life outside the institution. Thus, they make an important contribution to resocialization, stabilization, and social integration. For this demanding specialist function, we are looking for two experienced personalities (each 60 - 80%) who will share responsibility. In close collaboration, you will assess complex issues, make informed evaluations, and support each other in professional exchange. Your tasks Independent assessment of applications for vacations and exits in the closed and open execution of the JVA Pöschwies Development of well-founded and transparent statements on flight, common, and recidivism risks as a basis for decision-making for the Directorate and the admitting authorities Structured, precise, and target-group-oriented preparation of complex facts Ensuring compliance with conditions and requirements of approved prison leaves Close collaboration with the social service, the Directorate, and external authorities in the context of execution planning Participation in the further development of professional standards and support in training accompanying persons in the area of vacation and exit Continuous professional exchange with the second specialist to jointly assess complex cases and ensure uniform decision-making What you bring Completed vocational training or degree at a higher technical or university level, preferably in the commercial or social field At least 10 years of professional experience in a demanding administrative, social, security-relevant, or official environment Experience in the structured processing of complex cases, as well as the ability to write well-founded reports, evaluations, and summaries in a style-conscious, precise, and target-group-oriented manner Secure handling of digital work tools and common MS-Office applications, as well as pleasure in actively helping to shape digitization in the work routine High discretion, professionalism, and impeccable reputation (no entries in the debt collection or criminal register) Our offer Diverse and demanding activity with high personal responsibility Shared responsibility and close collaboration with a second specialist as a fixed part of the function Meaningful task with varied challenges and numerous further training opportunities Careful and comprehensive induction by the current job holder Easily accessible workplace with optimal connection to public transport and available parking spaces Attractive employment conditions according to cantonal guidelines Your application Are you ready for a responsible task with impact?
