What to expect

You will be the main point of contact for our clients and will carry out their projects responsibly and autonomously. The tasks and missions awaiting you are :

• Deployment and installation of new Oracle database infrastructures
• Installation, maintenance, administration, and patching of Oracle appliance bare metal systems with virtualization technology
• Migration of databases on-premises and in the cloud
• Patching and updating databases Use of Ansible for large-scale patching
• Deployment and configuration of high availability databases (Data Guard for the EE version, dbvisit for the SE version, RAC, etc.)
• Proposal of new solutions to meet client requirements (Snapshots, container database, etc.)
• Implementation, configuration, and management of database backups
• Database recovery following an incident
• Replication and movement of data using various technologies (RMAN duplication, Data Pump export/import, etc.)
• Replication, filtering, and transformation of data with Oracle GoldenGate
• Resolution of database performance problems (study and analysis of database performance)
• Administration and troubleshooting of Oracle databases (user support)
• License audit
• Shell scripting as well as creation of SQL and PL/SQL scripts
• Preparation of technical documentation for the projects and solutions you provide

What you bring

If you hold a HES [Swiss University of Applied Sciences] degree, EPF [Swiss Federal Institute of Technology] degree, or an equivalent degree, here is why you would be the ideal candidate for us:

• You have proven experience with the Oracle database server
• You have excellent knowledge and solid experience with Oracle RMAN backups and restores
• Oracle optimization is part of your skills
• You have knowledge in high availability with Dataguard or Real Application Cluster
• You are a good team player
• You speak French and/or German fluently and are proficient in English
• You can bring knowledge in Apex and PL/SQL

As an Oracle consultant, you will devote most of your time to consulting missions and occasionally to internal projects. Like all our consultants, you will benefit from approximately 20 days per year of continuous professional development. You will also have the opportunity to train our clients and attend technical conferences. Attached to the Oracle team of more than 15 people, you will be under the supervision of its Delivery Manager. The Technology Leader and your team colleagues are available every day to support you if needed.
