Event Manager 80–90 %

In this position, you will design, plan, and realize events of all kinds for the ZHAW-Departement Gesundheit and make them into a unique experience. We are located in the heart of Winterthur and have been a certified «Friendly Work Space» since 2014. As an Event Manager, you are responsible for comprehensive event management at the Departement Gesundheit, from consulting and planning to creation and dramaturgy, through to professional implementation and evaluation. A varied activity awaits you in a smaller team as a key position between teaching, research, and the public. Your core tasks include: • Becoming a valuable part of our team • Independent organization of recurring event projects such as information events, participation in education fairs, graduation ceremonies, staff events, or After Work Lectures • Conception, organization, implementation, and evaluation of unique events and symposia in the health sector • Accompanying projects from the idea through to post-processing – including budget planning • Project coordination between internal departments, external suppliers, and partners • Recruitment and coordination of the motivated ambassador team (selected students who participate in events and other marketing measures) • Implementation and coordination of accompanying communication measures and possibly marketing measures in consultation with marketing Further tasks: • Creation and further development of the event concept as well as processes in the event area together with the event team and in consultation with the MarKom management You have several years of experience in event management and hold a university degree or an equivalent qualification with optional further training in the field of event management. We are addressing a personality with strong implementation and assertion skills and experience in project management. You bring very high organizational talent, know the trends in event marketing, and are used to working conceptually and creatively. You also appreciate working independently and efficiently as part of a small team as well as in differently composed project groups and feel comfortable even when working with many interfaces. You think outside the box and continuously develop the events as well as the event strategy.
