Mechanic / Electrician for the maintenance of locomotives 100% (w/m/d)

WRS Widmer Rail Services AG is a family-run railway undertaking (EVU) that is active in the three linguistic regions (German, French, Italian) of Switzerland as well as in Germany, Italy and Austria. For this purpose, WRS uses its own wide locomotive fleet, own shunting capacities as well as own personnel (train drivers and shunters) and also trains them independently if necessary. WRS operates via several locations in all parts of the country to offer its customers a perfect service.

Due to ongoing growth, we are looking for a flexible and team-oriented personality for our motivated small workshop team in Balsthal, starting immediately or by arrangement, as

Your challenges:

• Determining & rectifying vehicle faults
• Carrying out maintenance, repair and revision work on locomotives
• Inspection and maintenance of locomotives
• Support and implementation of project work on locomotives
• Constant participation in further education & training

What you should bring with you:

• Completed mechanical or electrotechnical training with experience on large equipment
• Railway technology experience as well as practical experience with pneumatic & hydraulic systems is an advantage
• Good German skills in speaking and writing (at least level C1)
• Driving license category B
• Readiness for on-call service & irregular working hours (between – Uhr possible)
• Analytical & solution-oriented way of thinking with an exact & independent way of working
