Research Associate at the Department of Health

Shape the future of care for people with dementia with us. The Department of Health combines teaching, research, development, and service in the health sciences with a focus on nursing, physiotherapy, and occupational therapy. In the Dementia Competence Center of the OST - Ostschweizer Fachhochschule, we combine research, teaching, and practice with a common goal: to sustainably improve the quality of life of people with dementia and their relatives. To this end, we develop and research innovative care approaches, work closely with practical partners, and bring new findings directly into teaching and continuing education. To strengthen our interprofessional team, we are looking for a committed personality to further shape this path with us, starting immediately or by arrangement, as a Research Associate (80% - 100%). Depending on your qualifications, you will take on different focuses in teaching and research. Your field of activity

• Help shape research: You will participate in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of research projects in the field of Dementia Care. In doing so, you will work with qualitative and quantitative research methods and participate in literature reviews.
• Work networked with practice and research: Together with our team as well as external research and practice partners - for example from nursing, physiotherapy, and other care areas - you will develop and process practice-relevant questions.
• Make knowledge visible: You will contribute to scientific publications and present research results at specialist events and conferences.
• Shape teaching and continuing education: You will plan and conduct teaching activities in the degree programs of the Department of Health as well as in continuing education. You will further develop existing offerings based on current professional, scientific, and didactic findings.
• Accompany students: You will supervise Bachelor's and continuing education theses and support students in building their scientific competencies.

Your expertise

• A degree in a healthcare profession at HF or FH level, for example in nursing, physiotherapy, or occupational therapy, as well as an MSc degree in a related scientific field
• Professional as well as methodological-scientific knowledge (qualitative and quantitative)
• Interest in the field of dementia (care research) and scientific working
• Experience in research and teaching as well as professional experience with people with dementia is an advantage
• An independent, structured, and cooperative way of working
