Head of Business Development \& Collaboration (all) Do you want to actively help shape the strategic development of a major energy company? This key role is positioned directly under the CEO. You will work closely with the Executive Board, lead a team of two employees, and develop concrete initiatives and innovations with new business opportunities from strategic issues. At the same time, you will further develop sustainability management and strengthen AEW's positioning in the political and regulatory environment. Head of Business Development \& Collaboration (all) Your tasks You will lead the functional unit Business Development \& Collaboration both professionally and personally with two employees and continuously develop the responsible subject areas. You will conduct the annual strategy review in close coordination with the Executive Board and conduct in-depth analyses of selected strategic development fields. In doing so, you will work closely with financial controlling. You will translate the strategic direction into concrete initiatives and manage the strategic project portfolio management as well as the instruments for the strategic control of the business segments. You will shape innovation management and evaluate new products, services, and business opportunities together with the business units – from the initial idea through incubation to the handover to the line. You will further develop sustainability management, be responsible for the annual ESG reporting including auditing, and coordinate the measures to achieve the sustainability goals. You will coordinate the political interests of AEW in the field of Public Affairs in direct coordination with the CEO. Together with the responsible internal specialist departments, you will develop coordinated positions, represent these to the owner and the Canton Aargau, and bring AEW's interests into relevant industry forums. This includes participation in the core team of our industry association Regiogrid as well as coordination with the Verband Schweizerischer Elektrizitätsunternehmen VSE. Your profile You have a university degree, for example in business administration, economics, industrial engineering, energy or environmental sciences, or a comparable qualification. You bring several years of experience in corporate or strategy development, in strategic consulting, or in a comparable function. You are familiar with strategic development and control processes and have experience in analyzing complex issues, developing sound decision-making bases, and leading strategic projects into implementation. Ideally, you already have experience in the fields of innovation management, sustainability and ESG, strategic portfolio management, or Public Affairs. Experience in the energy industry, the infrastructure sector, or in a politically or regulatorily shaped environment is an advantage. You combine strong analytical and conceptual skills with entrepreneurial thinking as well as a pragmatic, agile, and implementation-oriented way of working. You communicate convincingly, prepare complex content in an understandable and target-group-oriented manner, and move confidently in exchange with the Executive Board. You work in a partnership-based and business-oriented manner with various internal and external stakeholders. You enjoy leading two employees professionally and personally. Leadership experience is an advantage. Likewise welcome are sound experiences in leading projects, teams, or interdisciplinary working groups. Very good German skills and good English skills round off your profile.
