Head of Logistics

Area of activity

• Overall responsibility for smooth, economical and safe logistics operations in warehouse, picking, forwarding, transport and garage
• Leadership and development of the team leaders for warehouse and forwarding as well as the garage
• Ensuring a timely and qualitatively flawless flow of goods from goods receipt to loading
• Responsibility for inventory security, inventory quality, order, occupational safety and productivity
• Control of in-house logistics, route planning, driver organization and cooperation with external forwarding companies
• Ensuring a ready-to-use and economical vehicle fleet
• Further development of ERP processes, key figures, work standards and cross-departmental interfaces

Profile

• Completed vocational training in logistics, transport, technology, automobile or commercial vehicle sector, business administration or a related field
• Further training at the level of professional examination, higher technical college or comparable
• Several years of leadership and practical experience in warehouse, logistics, transport, distribution or supply chain
• Experience in leading team leaders or larger operational teams
• Very good understanding of warehouse, picking, loading and transport processes
• Experience with route organization, fleet management or workshop coordination
• Confident handling of ERP systems, evaluations and key figures
• Strong awareness of cost, quality and safety
• Clear, binding and appreciative leadership personality with decision-making strength and assertiveness
• Very good German skills; Italian skills are an advantage
• Training or experience as a safety officer (Sicherheitsbeauftragte Person) or KOPAS is an advantage
