The Riviera-Chablais Hospital, Vaud-Valais (HRC), is an inter-cantonal reference hospital, bringing together more than 2,000 collaborators. The Rennaz Hospital Centre has more than 350 acute care beds. It is complemented by two Geriatric and Rehabilitation Clinics as well as two medical on-call services. All collaborators invest daily to provide quality care to patients, embodying the institution-s values: authenticity, exemplary conduct and innovation.

The operating theatre is a multidisciplinary technical platform comprising 10 elective operating rooms. They are divided into two activity centres and intended to accommodate adult and paediatric patients requiring scheduled surgical intervention in one of our specialties (Orthopaedics, Traumatology, Neurosurgery, ENT, Maxillofacial, Visceral, Gynaecology, Obstetrics, Urology, Vascular, Robotics). Two additional rooms are dedicated to 24/7 emergency care.

The main duties of this position are ###

  • Assist the instrument nurse.
  • Participate in maintaining the patient environment and care equipment.
  • Assist with patient positioning.
  • Handle medical devices and ensure their proper functioning.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge to adapt to any new developments.
  • As a member of the care team, contribute to the smooth running of the service.
  • Participate in improving the quality and safety of care.

We require ###

  • Holding an ATSSO diploma or nursing assistant qualification is an advantage.
  • Experience in a multidisciplinary operating theatre.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and professional software tools.
  • Organisational skills in work, ability to manage and handle equipment, and ensure hygiene and safety rules.
  • Ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Quick adaptability and rigour in applying current procedures.
  • Physical condition suitable for the position.
