Born from the association of 40 Vaud communes, the SDIS régional du Nord vaudois ensures fire defense, rescue, and defense against pollution and chemical and biological events in the Nord vaudois territory. With more than 230 volunteer firefighters distributed across different intervention bodies, the SDIS régional du Nord vaudois is committed to maintaining a high level of excellence and reactivity, through the continuous training of its personnel, the maintenance and renewal of its intervention means, as well as an organization based on fundamental values oriented towards the common good.
In this context, the Ville d’Yverdon-les-Bains is recruiting for the Service de défense incendie et secours (SDIS) régional du Nord vaudois a position as:
Deputy Commander, Permanent Firefighter at 80%
Your main responsibilities:
Participate in the development and implementation of the strategic orientations of the SDIS.
Coordinate cross-functional projects.
Optimize organizational management processes.
Support the commander in the development of strategic projects and in administrative aspects.
Implement and operate the internal control system.
Coordinate the implementation of annual objectives.
Participate in rescue operations as an intervener.
What we expect from you:
Holder of a Bachelor (university or specialized higher education) or a title deemed equivalent in the field of law, public administration, business management, or management.
Experience in project management and personnel management.
Writing skills and impeccable spelling.
Mastery of IT tools.
Sense of communication, cooperation, and negotiation.
Analytical capacity and multidisciplinary strategic vision.
Stress resistance and strong organizational capacity.
Experience as a volunteer firefighter is an asset.
Incorporation as a volunteer firefighter within the SDIS Nord vaudois.
