Senior AI Engineer – Imaging

In this role, you will develop scalable AI and computer vision systems for the analysis of scientific image data such as microscopy and digital pathology.

Tasks

• Development of scalable AI/ML web applications and backend pipelines for high-throughput image processing
• Construction and optimization of computer vision and deep learning models for cell segmentation and phenotyping
• Development of tools for evaluating model performance, robustness, and drift
• Construction and maintenance of cloud infrastructures and data pipelines for large multidimensional image datasets
• Participation in architecture decisions, code reviews, and MLOps processes for vision models

Profile

• PhD, Master with 3–5 years or Bachelor with 4–7 years of experience in computer science, biomedical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field
• Profound experience with AI/ML frameworks and computer vision libraries
• Deep expertise in computer vision algorithms such as CNNs, Vision Transformers, UNet
• Experience with high-dimensional scientific image data such as microscopy or digital pathology
• Experience with Kubernetes, relational and NoSQL databases, as well as cloud-native architectures
• Experience with workflow automation, GenAI, vision-language models, or AI agents is an advantage
