Production Planner with operational purchasing tasks

Lantal is a Swiss family business headquartered in Langenthal with other locations around the world. Around 500 Lantal employees work with passion on the development, design and manufacture of high-quality textiles and services for the Aviation and Ground-Transportation sectors.

Our dispatch team in Melchnau is looking for you to strengthen the team!

THIS IS YOUR JOB:

You think in networks, plan proactively and keep an overview even with changing priorities. A versatile task awaits you, in which you combine production planning and procurement and work with various internal and external partners:
You plan and coordinate the production and sample orders of our flat and carpet weaving mill. You procure the required raw materials, especially yarns, independently and keep an eye on orders and delivery dates. In addition, you coordinate orders and material flows with our manufacturing partners at home and abroad. In the event of bottlenecks or schedule shifts, you coordinate with sales and production and find suitable solutions together with those involved.

WHAT YOU BRING WITH YOU:

You preferably have a basic textile technical training and mandatory experience in the production planning of an industrial company. Ideally, you are familiar with the weaving process or textile finishing. Alternatively, you bring a good technical understanding to quickly familiarize yourself with the production processes. You recognize the connections between material requirements, capacities and delivery dates, set clear priorities and work independently and solution-oriented. Even with short-term changes, you keep an overview and communicate confidently and skillfully with sales, production and suppliers to find suitable solutions together. Solid English skills round off your profile.
