According to the cantonal service contract, the psychiatry department of Spital Emmental is responsible for the care of the Emmental region (150'000 inhabitants) with locations in Burgdorf and Langnau.

To complement our team at the Clinic for Geriatric Psychiatry, we are looking for, effective immediately or by arrangement, a:

Your tasks within the framework of team-oriented processes

• Conducting the geriatric psychiatry consultation at the Allgemeinspital Langnau
• Geriatric psychiatry consultation service on the somatic wards of the hospital
• Collaboration in the Memory Clinic (diagnostics, case discussions, interdisciplinary assessments)
• If interested: participation in the special consultation for ADHD and ASD in adulthood
• Building up and expanding the regional, outreach care structure
• Interprofessional cooperation with nursing, therapies and somatic specialist disciplines
• Participation in the integrated psychiatric emergency service

Your profile

• Specialist title in Psychiatry and Psychotherapy or shortly before completion
• Interest in geriatric psychiatry and somato-psychic interactions
• Ideally initial experience in geriatric psychiatry; consultation psychiatry experience welcome
• Enjoyment of interdisciplinary cooperation and the further development of modern care offerings
• Confident appearance as well as a clear, structured and team-oriented way of working
