Production Line Support Engineer

Our site in the city of Zurich employs approximately 150 people in the fields of development and production of the Centri MagTM system and the HeartMate 3TM motor. As we expand our current team, we are looking for a passionate, open-minded, and down-to-earth person to join our team.   Production Engineer - Line Support Production engineering is responsible for supporting and optimizing production. As a Line Support Engineer, you are the primary point of contact for resolving production issues, fostering rapid problem resolution, investigating deviations, and maintaining smooth and compliant operations in close collaboration with cross-functional teams. You are committed to ensuring uninterrupted manufacturing operations and enabling the production team to maintain production safely, efficiently, and in accordance with quality requirements. You will: • Provide first-level support to the production floor for technical issues, ensuring that production can continue with minimum disruption • Investigate and evaluate production deviations (Event Descriptions), determine material disposition in collaboration with quality engineering, and escalate to an NCMR if necessary • Investigate and resolve issues occurring in production as part of a team responsible for complaint investigations • Suggest corrective and preventive actions based on detailed technical analysis and review using various root cause analysis tools and techniques • Monitor and analyze manufacturing yields and performance indicators, identify trends and improvement opportunities, and translate data into concise management information • Drive continuous and measurable process improvements using Operational Excellence (OPEX) methodologies and tools • Perform change management in our product lifecycle management (PLM) system Windchill and provide training to the relevant parties accordingly • Support audit activities as a subject matter expert Your profile: • B.Sc./M.Sc. in electrical, mechanical or industrial engineering (University, FH or comparable training) • 0-3 years of professional experience preferably in a MedTech environment • A very curious and proactive learner • A conscientious, well-structured, and independent way of working • Strong service orientation with a proactive mindset and a passion for supporting manufacturing operations • Advanced skills in German and English • Drive continuous improvement and enjoy working in a team • Knowledge of applicable medical technology regulations (ISO 13485 / FDA 21CFR Part 820 / GxP) is an asset We offer development opportunities for a highly motivated specialist who thinks and loves to be part of a small, young team with wide responsibilities.
