Green Spaces Workshop Manager (M/F)

Job Description ## In your capacity as Green Spaces Workshop Manager (M/F) within the Établissements de la plaine de l-Orbe (EPO), you support detainees in the acquisition of new technical, social, and professional skills. In this position, you ensure the smooth running of green space maintenance work, masonry work, and road management, as well as compliance with instructions, deadlines, and procedures. You also participate in the supervision and training of detainees assigned to these activities, transmitting the necessary skills to them and promoting their autonomy, professional development, and reintegration. Responsibilities ## • Train and supervise detainees in workshop activities (green space maintenance, masonry work, road management) • Ensure the supervision, safety, and monitoring of detainees working in the workshop and ensure the maintenance of discipline; • Establish behavior reports and regular evaluations of the skills and acquisitions of the supervised persons and collaborate with stakeholders from different sectors (social, security, professional, etc.) to ensure adequate care for the detainees; • Collaborate with stakeholders from different sectors of the establishment (social, security, professional) for adequate care of the detainees. Qualifications ## • You have a CFC in the field of green spaces or a title deemed equivalent. • You hold a machine operator's license or commit to obtaining it during employment. • You hold the federal certificate (brevet fédéral) of detention officer or commit to obtaining it during employment. • Good mental and physical aptitudes allowing you to manage sometimes difficult situations or conflicts while maintaining a distance appropriate to your function. • Comfortable in human contacts, empathy, and sense of communication and negotiation. • Ability to manage stress and sense of observation, analysis, and synthesis. • Good command of French and common IT tools. • Comfortable in managing a group, you know how to motivate teams. Our employment conditions require that you are Swiss or a holder of a Permit C, free of any certificate of unpaid debts (an extract from the Office des poursuites must be presented during the process), and your criminal record must be clean.
