Join Conforama Suisse and take responsibility for a universe as rich as it is varied: decoration, lighting, tableware, carpets, home textiles and complementary products.

Your mission

Reporting to the Purchasing Department, you define and steer the strategy of your category, with a clear objective: to offer attractive, competitive and profitable collections that meet the expectations of our customers.

At the head of a team of 6 employees (3 product managers and 3 assistants), you combine strategic vision, product sensitivity and commercial expertise.

Your main responsibilities:

• Develop and evolve our collections by anticipating market trends, consumer expectations and competitor evolutions.
• Define the commercial strategy of your category: assortment construction, price positioning, promotional policy and profitability objectives.
• Drive the economic performance of your product families by optimizing turnover, margins, stocks and product availability.
• Supervise purchasing and negotiations with suppliers, by developing high-performing and sustainable partnerships in Switzerland as well as internationally.
• Manage and support your team, by promoting autonomy, collaboration and collective performance.
• Optimize the presentation of our collections in stores, in collaboration with the merchandising, marketing and store teams.

Your profile:

• You have higher commercial or marketing education (Bachelor or equivalent).
• You have proven experience of 5 to 8 years in purchasing, category management or range development, ideally in the home, decoration or specialized retail universe.
• You possess significant management experience and know how to unite a team around common goals.
• You master negotiation techniques and possess an excellent understanding of commercial and financial issues.
• You are comfortable with analysis and steering tools, notably Excel.
• You master French and have very good knowledge of English. Mastery of German is a real asset.
• You are available for business travel in Switzerland and internationally (approximately 20 %).
