Customs Declarant (m/f/d) 80-100%

For our client, an established Swiss company in the field of logistics and services, we are looking for a reliable and committed personality as a Customs Declarant 80-100% effective immediately or by arrangement.

The position is initially temporary with a view to permanent employment and offers you the opportunity to establish yourself long-term in an exciting and professional working environment.

Tasks

• Independent processing of import and export customs clearances
• Creation and control of customs declarations
• Examination of relevant customs and shipping documents for completeness and accuracy
• Tariff classification and classification of goods
• Clarification of customs law issues
• Ensuring compliance with applicable customs regulations
• Processing of discrepancies and special cases
• Communication with internal specialist departments, customers, and authorities
• Recording and maintaining relevant data in the corresponding systems
• General administrative activities related to customs clearance

Profile

• Completed commercial training or a comparable basic training
• Professional experience in the field of customs, freight forwarding, import/export, or logistics is an advantage
• Knowledge of Swiss customs regulations is an advantage
• Very good German language skills, both written and spoken
• Good IT user skills
• Exact, structured, and reliable way of working
• Quick comprehension and high sense of responsibility
• Team-oriented, resilient, and flexible personality
• Enjoyment of administrative activities and complex processes
