Team Leader Maintenance

Purpose of the role
As Team Leader, you will ensure high availability and reliability of our production facilities in the areas of Machining and Vulcanizing together with your team. You coordinate maintenance activities, lead and develop your employees, and drive the continuous improvement of processes, safety, and plant performance.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring occupational, plant, and machine safety in the areas of Machining and Vulcanizing
• Planning and coordinating maintenance, repair, and optimization work in close cooperation with production
• Ensuring high plant availability as well as sustainable fault rectification and preventive maintenance
• Analyzing malfunctions and implementing sustainable corrective and improvement measures
• Technical and personnel leadership as well as targeted development of the maintenance team through coaching, target agreements, and regular feedback
• Planning personnel resources as well as coordinating assignments, holidays, and absences
• Planning, prioritizing, and controlling maintenance activities based on operational key figures
• Participating in budget planning and ensuring budget compliance as well as economical use of resources
• Collaborating on and taking over partial project leadership in improvement and investment projects, e.g., TPM, Lean Maintenance, and plant optimizations
• Ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards as well as promoting a proactive maintenance culture
• Participation in on-call duty (approx. 3 to 4 assignments per year, each for one week)

Qualifications

• Completed basic technical training as a Polymechaniker, Automatiker, Mechatroniker, or comparable training
• Very good German skills in speaking and writing as well as good English skills (at least level B1) Further training in the field of maintenance, e.g., Instandhaltungsfachmann FA, Unternehmensprozesse/Prozesstechnik (HF) or comparable higher vocational training
• Several years of experience in industrial maintenance of production facilities, special machines, machine tools, or automated systems
• At least 2 years of leadership experience in a technical or industrial environment
• Sound knowledge of systematic fault analysis and preventive maintenance
• High customer and service orientation towards internal stakeholders
• Structured, solution-oriented, and resilient way of working with a hands-on mentality as well as the ability to set clear priorities even in demanding situations
• High integrity, reliability, and flexibility as well as the willingness to take on responsibility and to continuously develop yourself
• PLC knowledge (Siemens S7/TIA Portal or Beckhoff) is an advantage
