Bern (and home office) | 80-100% This is your contribution <br /> • Lead the directorate area with around 300 employees in technical, organizational, and personnel aspects • Be responsible for the strategic orientation of immigration and integration policy along the entire migration process • Manage legislative projects in the areas of foreign nationals, citizenship, and integration, and be responsible for Federal Council and parliamentary matters • Negotiate and implement bilateral and multilateral agreements in migration-relevant areas, particularly in the context of the free movement of persons • Coordinate and further develop cooperation with cantons, other federal offices, as well as national and international partners • Advise director members on fundamental migration policy issues and represent the directorate area externally <br /> What makes you unique <br /> • University degree, supplemented by sound leadership experience in a comparable function • Several years of experience in leading complex organizational units as well as in strategic management and change processes • In-depth knowledge of migration and integration policy as well as proven experience in legislative and administrative procedures • Negotiation experience in national and international environments as well as a strong understanding of political processes • Integrative leadership personality with high social competence, assertiveness, and clear communication • Very good active knowledge of two official languages as well as good knowledge of the third official language and very good English skills <br /> In a nutshell You will play a decisive role in shaping Swiss migration and integration policy -- from entry to residence and labor market access to naturalization. In this key role, you will assume overall strategic responsibility for foreign population policy in Switzerland, represent Switzerland at national and international levels, and shape the further development of a central policy area.
