ICT System Specialist / Epic Client Systems Administrator (ECSA)

The Directorate of Technology and Innovation (DTI) of the Insel Gruppe is responsible for the planning, further development, and operation of the ICT and medical technology landscape of one of the leading hospital companies in Switzerland. The Server & Storage team ensures central platform and basic services for the operation of the critical ICT infrastructure -- from server and virtualization platforms to storage and backup, up to central platforms for clinical operations. What awaits you <br /> • You are responsible for the operation and further development of the Epic Client systems and ensure their stability, security, and performance. • You analyze complex technical issues and resolve malfunctions sustainably and in a solution-oriented manner. • You plan, test, and implement new functions, releases, and changes in close cooperation with internal specialist departments and Epic. • You automate recurring tasks and actively drive the standardization of our operational processes. • You contribute your know-how to exciting infrastructure and digitalization projects and help shape the platform of the future. • You work in a well-coordinated team that shares knowledge, supports each other, and masters demanding challenges together. • You work together with internal specialist departments, external partners, and manufacturers and contribute to successful cooperation across team boundaries. <br /> What you bring with you <br /> • Completed training in computer science or comparable qualification • Good German skills as well as good English skills (at least level B2) • Successfully completed Epic certifications or the readiness to acquire these as part of your induction (partly directly at Epic in the USA) • Several years of experience in the operation of virtualized systems • Experience in patch management, hardening, and the implementation of security standards • Good knowledge in scripting and automation • Experience with container technologies such as Docker or comparable solutions • Good knowledge of VMware vSphere as well as fundamental understanding of storage and network technologies • Experience in troubleshooting complex environments • Basic knowledge of databases, monitoring, and backup solutions is an advantage • Experience with ITIL processes, ServiceNow, or comparable ITSM tools is an advantage • Readiness to further your training in technologies such as Nutanix and to acquire corresponding certifications <br /> Our offer <br /> • A technically demanding leadership role with meaning and impact in a highly critical ICT environment • The opportunity to actively help shape and further develop central infrastructure platforms • An experienced and committed team with an important mission • A versatile infrastructure and system landscape with high criticality and exciting challenges • Interesting projects and undertakings in the tension field of operation, further development, and digitalization • High degree of creative freedom as well as much personal responsibility in a professional environment • Flexible working hours as well as the possibility to perform up to 40% of the activity in a home office • Attractive employment conditions and a centrally located workplace in Bern Applications from recruitment agencies will not be considered. <br /> Questions about the position?
