Ensure daily educational support for babies and children aged 0 to 5 years living in a residential setting, within a multidisciplinary team Respond to the physiological, psychological, and emotional needs of the children, and guarantee them a secure living environment Offer parenting support (observation of interactions and reinforcement of parenting skills) Evaluate the needs of the child and the parent in order to contribute to the construction of the follow-up project Organize and lead playful and educational activities, adapted to the age and development of the children Collaborate closely with placement services and professional network partners Actively participate in team meetings: colloquiums, supervisions, and reflection days. Particularity of the position Irregular working hours (including nights and weekends). Activity rate: 80 - 85 % Contract duration: from 1 September 2026 Contract type: CDI Class: 13 or 15 according to the salary scale of the Etat de Genève Application deadline: 31 June 2026 Bachelor in social work (HETS) or Diploma in social education (ES) or University Bachelor (neighboring field of social work) with one year of full-time professional practice in a residential setting or in IGE Foreign diplomas: requirement of official recognition by the SEFRI (or by a recognized equivalent organization) CAS as a training practitioner, an asset Significant previous experience in the field of early childhood Flexibility and ability to adapt quickly to various audiences Autonomy, team spirit, and sense of initiative Good knowledge of the Geneva social network Good writing skills in French. Have a driving license (B) Be of Swiss nationality or in possession of a valid work permit. To successfully carry out its mission, the FOJ is looking for two qualified educators for the Maison Yamba, an emergency home welcoming babies and very young children aged 0 to 5 years.
