You will ensure that buildings, facilities, and infrastructure function reliably and that children, adolescents, and employees can move around in a safe and well-maintained environment. The historic buildings of the former Johanniterkommende give your daily work a very special character. Your tasks • You take over the maintenance and upkeep of the old buildings and historic buildings assigned to you and independently carry out repairs on facilities, devices, and machines. • You support the other specialists of the technical service in their absence or in the event of an increased workload. • In the face of technical challenges, you find practical and creative solutions and apply your manual skills even where the latest technology is not always used. • You coordinate repairs by external specialist companies independently, accompany the work on-site, and ensure that the necessary work is carried out professionally. • In addition to the buildings, driving services are also part of your area of responsibility. You take over student transport to doctor and dentist appointments as well as material transport. • For safe and functioning operations, you also ensure things run smoothly during winter service and events: You support the preparation of rooms, festive furniture, drinks, and signage and lend a hand wherever your support is needed. Your profile • You have completed training as a Specialist in Facility Management and ideally have further training as a Caretaker with a federal certificate of proficiency. • With your many years of professional experience and pronounced practical knowledge, you can solve technical and manual tasks independently. You feel particularly confident in the areas of building technology and safety. • You are interested in historic buildings and their special requirements and have ideally already gained experience in the maintenance of old buildings. In doing so, you are open to trying out unconventional solutions occasionally. • An independent, proactive, and reliable way of working characterizes you. You see what needs to be done, tackle the tasks, and keep an overview even when several requests come at you simultaneously. • You enjoy working with children and adolescents with linguistic or cognitive impairments and bring the necessary sensitivity for everyday pedagogical life and different stakeholder groups. Good German skills in speaking and writing, good IT user skills, as well as a category B driver's license complete your profile.
