Digital Productivity & Solutions Engineer

The Medizinische Fakultät der Universität Zürich is continuously developing its processes and digital system landscape. To strengthen our IT and digitalization team, we are looking for an analytical, technically proficient, and communicative personality at the interface between specialist departments and IT.

You analyze workflows and systems, actively identify potential for increasing Digital Productivity, and develop suitable solutions together with the specialist departments. The goal is simpler processes, less manual work, better data utilization, and more efficient ways of working.

In doing so, you maintain a technology-agnostic mindset: solutions can arise through Microsoft 365, Power Platform, and AI, by optimizing existing systems such as SAP SLCM, through interfaces and integrations, or through individually developed applications. You implement smaller solutions and prototypes yourself; you design and accompany larger projects together with developers, central IT, or external partners.

Tasks

• Analyze work and business processes and identify efficiency, automation, and digitalization potential
• Critically question and simplify existing workflows
• Translate functional requirements into suitable technical solution approaches
• Develop and further develop digital solutions, automations, and prototypes
• Use modern AI tools for new solutions and to support development
• Implement solutions with Microsoft 365, Power Platform, Copilot Studio, and other suitable technologies
• Incorporate SAP SLCM and other existing specialist applications into process and solution concepts
• Help shape data models, interfaces, integrations, and cross-system data flows
• Participate in system replacements, migrations, and the further development of the application landscape
• Act as an interface between specialist departments, developers, IT, and external partners
• Support employees with new digital ways of working and the use of AI

Profile

You have a good technical understanding and can assess functional problems from both a process and a system perspective.

Ideally, you bring with you:

• Experience in the analysis, optimization, and digitalization of business processes
• Practical experience in the conception or development of digital solutions
• Understanding of data models, interfaces, APIs, and integrations
• Experience with Microsoft 365 and ideally Power Platform, Copilot Studio, or Azure
• SAP knowledge is an advantage
• Experience with modern AI tools and interest in new forms of software development
• Analytical, structured, and pragmatic way of working
• High level of initiative as well as strong communication and consulting skills

A degree in Business Informatics, Computer Science, Digital Business, or a related field is an advantage, but not a requirement. Likewise welcome are persons with a suitable vocational apprenticeship, further training, or with profound, self-acquired competencies and corresponding practical experience. Programming skills, for example in Python, TypeScript, JavaScript, or .NET, as well as experience with databases, cloud technologies, SAP, or system migrations, are an advantage.
