• Analyze complex supply and value creation systems and systematically assess hazards, vulnerabilities, and critical dependencies of raw materials, technologies, infrastructures, and other components
• Conduct in-depth investigations into supply-relevant issues, structure information from different sources, and identify connections
• Develop robust arguments, technical papers, and decision-making bases for technical and political decisions
• Lead projects and analyses to improve supply security and develop concrete options for action
• Collaborate with industry, science, and administration and represent the office in internal and external committees

What makes you unique

• Master in engineering sciences, statistics, economics, or business administration or a comparable field of study
• Strong analytical and conceptual skills as well as enjoyment in penetrating complex issues and processing them in a structured manner
• Ability to quickly and independently familiarize yourself with new topics, industries, and supply chains and to recognize relevant connections
• Experience in conducting demanding investigations and analyses as well as in developing comprehensible arguments and decision-ready bases
• Independent, structured, and result-oriented way of working; confident appearance, negotiation skills, and high social competence
• Good knowledge of two official languages, including German at a very high written level; passive knowledge of the third official language as well as English skills

The Bundesamt für wirtschaftliche Landesversorgung BWL is the national competence center for questions of supply security. In the event of shortages, it supports the private sector in securing the country's supply of vital goods and services.
