Job description Set up job subscription   Team Leader Underwriting SME Market West (w/m/d) # Insurance Directorate / Bern  / Experienced leader  / Permanent/ 80%-100% What awaits you ## In this position as a Team Leader, you will lead a team in underwriting that is responsible for the active processing and further development of the demanding and exciting SME business in the Western Switzerland market area. What you will achieve with us ## In this function, you will lead a team of 5 SME advisors in the Western Switzerland market area both personally and professionally. You will set clear goals, provide regular feedback, promote your employees in a targeted manner, and support them in their daily work. In addition, you will shape and promote an open, trusting, and performance-oriented team culture. In operational day-to-day business, in this responsible role, you will advise and support our general agencies in implementing risk- and market-oriented underwriting. You will accompany our insurance advisors on customer visits and conduct sound risk assessments and risk analyses. Furthermore, you will coordinate and realize the professional training and further education of the general agencies. You will also take on the management of selected projects and work in interdisciplinary teams on exciting endeavors. Moreover, you will plan market processing activities, observe the market, and conduct written as well as oral contract negotiations with internal and external partners (directorate, general agencies, brokers, and SME customers). What you bring with you ## • Higher insurance-specific further education (FA/HFV) or business administration training (Uni, FH, or HF) • Several years of professional experience in risk assessment in the SME business as well as sales experience in the field of commercial insurance • Experience in leading employees • Experience in project work and in the optimization of processes • Strong hands-on mentality as well as high service orientation • Committed, communicative, and proactive personality with a strong team spirit • Willingness to travel and work independently of location • Fluent German and French skills, other languages are a plus Working with us ## Look forward to versatile work in the SME Underwriting department, which consists of four teams.
