For the Dietlikon site, we are looking for an automation engineer

Your responsibilities

• Development of concepts for production installations and automation solutions, from needs analysis to detailed design
• Safe and user-oriented design of installations (usability / safety / ergonomics / life cycle cost)
• Risk assessment in accordance with the machinery regulation (EU) 2023/1230
• Selection and integration of vision systems, control methods, and industrial robots, depending on the project
• Creation and maintenance of concepts, plans, and construction documents in CAD
• Participation in product developments, modernization solutions, and transfers
• Support for validation (CE), testing, and commissioning of installations
• Compliance with safety and quality standards
• Responsibility for coordination and, if necessary, project management
• Professional communication with clients, suppliers, and other stakeholders

Your qualifications

• Engineering degree in mechanical engineering, automation, or mechatronics (BSc/MSc)
• Several years of professional experience in concept development for production installations and in automation
• Knowledge in risk assessment and safe machine design according to the machinery regulation (EU) 2023/1230
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Inventor / Solidworks)
• Experience in installation commissioning and FMEA appreciated
• Experience with the integration of vision systems (Keyence / Cognex / VisionPro / Halcon, -)
• PLC/HMI programming skills an asset (e.g., Beckhoff / Siemens / Allen Bradley and C#)
• Very good knowledge of German and English
• Structured, careful, and autonomous way of working
• Developed conceptual and analytical thinking, solution-oriented
• Creativity, customer orientation, team spirit, and speed of comprehension
