The Salvation Army Switzerland, as a church and social non-profit organization, offers essential support to people in challenging life situations. In the Berner Lorrainequartier, 63 residents find a home in security and comprehensive care and support. We offer living opportunities to people with mental illnesses, addiction disorders, and elderly people. For our committed team in the lively Lorrainequartier in Bern, we are looking for a motivated and responsible personality as a Healthcare Assistant EFZ. In this varied role, you will make an important contribution to the individual care and support of our residents.

Your tasks

• Design of a varied daily routine of care and support, whereby independence, resources, and quality of life of our residents are promoted
• Together with qualified nursing professionals, you will share responsibility for professional, individual care
• Completion of administrative tasks
• Taking over day-to-day responsibility for around 30 residents
• Active co-creation of an appreciative and professional care environment
• Cooperation in the interdisciplinary team as well as promotion of the well-being of our residents

What you bring with you

• Completed training as FaGe EFZ
• Experience in the long-term care sector and in psychiatry is desirable. We are also happy to consider applicants who are motivated to familiarize themselves with these exciting specialist areas.
• Good user knowledge in handling computer programs
• Good German skills and understanding of Swiss dialects
• Teamwork skills, organizational talent, and decisiveness
• Flexibility and resilience
• Joy in dealing with people of all origins and social backgrounds
• Identification with the mission statement of the Salvation Army
