The Lebensraum Bern Ost includes the following locations: Domicil Alexandra is located in the idyllic local recreation area not far from the Aare. Domicil Egelmoos is a family-like house in the quiet Schosshalde district. Domicil Kompetenzzentrum Demenz Elfenau is aimed at offering people with dementia a family-like home. Domicil Kompetenzzentrum Demenz Wildermettpark is located in a stylish traditional house surrounded by a magnificent garden area.

Your tasks

Would you like to use your expertise in geriatrics where it shows a direct effect – in everyday nursing and in the further development of nursing practice? As a Geriatric Specialist, you strengthen evidence-based, person-centered care. You support teams professionally, promote clinical thinking, and contribute actively to the quality of care and support.

You advise and support employees in complex nursing issues and promote their knowledge through bedside teaching, case discussions, and training. You provide advisory support to residents and relatives, especially regarding complex therapy decisions.

Furthermore, you support the team during physician visits, new admissions, and difficult nursing situations. You are responsible for the implementation of nursing concepts in everyday life.

In addition, you are responsible for the professional application of nursing documentation, keep the nursing plans up to date, and thereby ensure a high quality of care. You train and support employees in the correct handling of nursing documentation.

In your role, you work across locations and contribute to the further development as well as the standardization of medical-nursing processes, treatment, and professional standards.

You can expect a professionally demanding specialist role with great creative freedom and direct influence on the quality of care and support. You work closely with nursing management, team leaders, and interprofessional teams and actively participate in quality and practice development projects.

In doing so, you will encounter a committed team that is open to innovative roles and new ways in nursing practice. Together, you will shape the further development of geriatric nursing. The role of the Geriatric Specialist is also evolving – and you have the opportunity to actively help shape and professionally influence it.

Your profile

• Dipl. Pflegefachperson FH / BSC or HF with willingness for further training
• CAS Intercare or Dementia or comparable professional specialization
• Experience in geriatric long-term care, ideally also in the dementia area
• Very good communication and advisory skills
• Structured, independent, and solution-oriented way of working
• Very good German skills in speaking and writing
• Good computer user skills
• Teamwork skills, resilience, innovative mindset
